There’s this one ad that I get on my e-mail that is for “mystery shoppers”. I’ve never clicked on it, of course, but when I log in it’s right there, staring at me. And stare it literally does. It has a picture of a girl in a black slip/dress, Photoshopped within an inch of her humanity. It’s crazy. But the most noticeable thing is her eyes. They’re bright, bright blue. And they are completely non-natural. It’s like they took the blue and drew two dots where her eyes should be. It’s rather scary. And I thought to myself “If she looked like that in real life, she’d be real noticeable. Not too much mystery about that.”

NaNoWriMo is coming up. November is notorious for being busy around the college life. Especially with one of our hardest classes, Hermeneutics, which is known for having hard, hard homework assignments. Last year, I failed. I failed miserably. But I signed up again. I’m such an eternal optimist! My goal this year is to get to 10,000 words. Last year I only got to 6,000. But as I read those words I wrote (wow, it’s been a year), they aren’t all bad. I can tell I got stuck, but I like it! And dangit, I am going to try. If anyone else is jumping in, feel free to post a comment and we can be “writing buddies” on the site.

God’s been teaching me a lot about praising him for the good things He has given me. He is SO good and loving. I am so blessed right now. Praise the Lord, oh my soul!
